Above are pictures of our trip down the
Conn. River mid-June from WR to
Newbury.
Foster Pond - A hidden gem
somewhere between Danville and
Groton. Our friends from NY, just
back from Panama showed us
this pond in practically our back
yard. Got there at 7pm just after a
rain storm. First thing we saw
was a painted turtle laying its
eggs. Water was silky smooth. A
pair of Loons were swimming
their two youngsters around.
Loon calls echoed off the
surrounding hills. Drove home by
way of Green Bay Loop and Great
Rd through fog on empty. Great
find! Thank you.
