the Cross Vt trail. Trail links describe a trail section with mileage and highlights.

13. Lovely mature forest
with open understory.
Steep ascent but great
view with the leave still not
out. Ate lunch and relaxed
at the top with the dogs.
Saw Dutchmen's
Britches, and Hepatica on
the way back down.
May 15, 2007 Rain cleared and we biked toward S. Ryegate
and then walked up the old quarry road. Saw geese, ducks,
trillium,quaker ladies and Brenda's dog pack. Gail, Fay,
Reggi and Debra.
May 8, 2007 Perfect evening. Biked up to Ricker's
Campground and down to the beach and boat launch. Buds
on the trees just beginning to pop. Started tired and ended
refreshed. Fay, Priscilla, Deb, Raiden and Debra.

May 29, 2007 Biked to the swimming hole at the bottom of
Lake Groton. Cynthia, Reggi, Deb, Susan, Debra. It was
buggy but we kept circling to keep the flies from zeroing in.
June 5, 2007 Terrific ride. Kettle to Marshfield Pond. Great
group with oldies and newbies. Corah, Cynthia, Jamie, Gail,
Deb, Susan, Reggie,and Debra.
June 12,2007 Meet at AcrossVT and then ferry up to the bottom of
Ricker's Pond. We'll bike past glacial boulder drops and deep
shaded cuts of rushing water to the intersection of the Cross VT
trail and Rt 232.

June 26, 2007 Hot and humid. Looks like a swimming night tonight. Meet at
AcrossVT and we will pick a cool spot.
July 10, 2007 Looks like chance of rain is high but we will gather in front of
AcrossVT in Groton and if the weather holds will pick a spot.
